World Mandate Ministries to help unaccompanied children displaced by war

Clopton-based World Mandate Ministries is setting up a new ministry to help unaccompanied children displaced by war in the Middle East. CHOCS (Caring Homes for Orphaned Children). “Over 10,000 unaccompanied child refugees have disappeared since arriving in Europe. This needs to be the church’s finest hour, showing the world that’s approved by religion that’s approved by God (James 1:27). CHOCS is currently embryonic and is investigating all the avenues available to offer care and help to the refugee children. Northamptonshire County Council says 'No' to refugees

In spite of a promise last September by Mary Markham, the leader of Northampton Borough Council, that NBC would accept 50 Syrian refugee families over the next 5 years, the controlling majority on the Council have reneged on that promise and voted not to accommodate any.
